Benefits of spirulina

Good Morning! Tomorrow I'm traveling and I did not want to go without leaving this post farewell to continue caring for your health.
Do not know if they have heard of spirulina or blue-green algae. It is mostly used as supplements in the diet to lose weight, although their properties go far beyond a simple food to lose weight.
Spirulina is rich in protein (up almost 70%) and low in fat. Hence his interest in the world oflow-calorie diets . But a great advantage of this food is that despite contain very few calories, has a great satiating power , which allows us to spend several hours without feeling that horrible sinking feeling in the stomach. How does that effect satiating? Very simple. Spirulina is sold dried. When taken together with water in our stomach is rehydrated and acquires its true volume. By expanding in our stomach, we feel full.

In addition to its good results when losing weight, Spirulina is a great food that can be integrated into a balanced diet. It is rich in vitamin B1, B2 and B6, all of great importance to protect our nervous system.
It contains more iron than spinach, so consumption is often recommended to people with iron deficiency anemia.

Is very rich in beta carotene (provitamin A), helping to protect our skin from the action of free radicals and prevent premature aging.
Curiously, these blue-green algae , which although algae called cyanobacteria are actually growing as if treat algae contain large amounts of chlorophyll and phycocyanin, hence the intense blue-green color. Because it is so rich in chlorophyll , they are often prescribed in cases of bad breath, sweating problems or other unpleasant odors. Chlorophyll counteracts odors and removes them.

And finishing, spirulina is rich in vitamin K , indicated for the treatment of coagulation disorders.
Several studies have shown that spirulina may help lower cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of cardiovascular and cancer diseases, thanks to the large amounts of antioxidant substances contained.
Well, this is all up within 20 days that is when I return. If I have time, I try to leave some more scheduled to be published the week after, but no promises ...
